The leaders of Inqilab Manch have given the government a 7-day ultimatum to fulfill its 3-point demands, including cancellation of Awami League's registration. The protesters left the road in front of Kakrail Mosque with such a warning on Sunday (December 22) afternoon.
The organization's spokesperson, Sharif Osman Hadi, said, "We have presented our demands to the representative sent by the chief advisor. He assured us that he will talk to the chief executive and contact us regarding the demands."
He said, "We are giving the current government 7 days. If measures are not taken to fulfill our three-point demands within this time, we will hold a sit-in to surround the Secretariat at 1 pm on December 29."
Earlier, when they blocked the road to fulfill their demands around 3:30 pm, traffic on the road in front of Kakrail Mosque was stopped. Later, upon receiving the news and reaching the spot, the leaders of the Inquilab Mancha submitted a memorandum with 3-point demands to the Private Secretary (PS) of the Chief Advisor, Sajeeb M Khairul Islam. At that time, the Private Secretary of the Chief Advisor, after accepting the memorandum, said that he would inform the Chief Advisor, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, about the demands of the protesters.
The 3-point demands of the Inquilab Mancha are:
1. The registration of the genocidal party Awami League must be canceled immediately.
2. All the terrorists in the committees from the center to the union of the Awami League must be arrested immediately to save the patriotic students and public from the assassination of the terrorist Awami League.
3. Complete security of the lives of all July fighters in Bangladesh, including private universities, must be ensured.
