A suicide bomber killed Afghan refugee minister Khalil ur-Rahman Haqqani in Kabul, killing several others.
The minister was killed in a blast at his office in Kabul on Wednesday (December 11).

It was the deadliest bombing in Afghanistan since the Taliban returned to power three years ago. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
An official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: "Unfortunately, there was an explosion at the refugee ministry. Minister Khalil ur-Rahman Haqqani and several of his colleagues were martyred."
Khalil ur-Rahman Haqqani was the brother of Jalaluddin Haqqani, the founder of the Haqqani Network. Khalil Haqqani is the uncle of acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani. He also leads a powerful Taliban network.
