21 more Palestinians have been killed in a barbaric attack by Israeli forces in the besieged Palestinian enclave of Gaza. In addition, Israeli forces have carried out several deadly airstrikes in Yemen and Lebanon. Many people have been killed and countless others injured in these attacks. At the same time, medical activities have almost stopped due to a fuel shortage in Gaza hospitals, which is causing a humanitarian disaster.
The Israeli military on Friday carried out attacks on several locations controlled by Yemen’s Houthi rebels. The targets were a power station near the city of Sanaa and important installations in the ports of Hodeidah and Ras Issa. On the same day, airstrikes were also carried out in southern Lebanon, where several people were killed. The Israeli forces said they took this step for their own security and to prevent attacks by the Houthi.
The Israeli military strikes caused extensive damage to important ports and power stations in Yemen. Several people were killed in the attack in southern Lebanon, but Israel has claimed that it is committed to the terms of the ceasefire with Lebanon. Meanwhile, 21 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since Friday morning, according to medical sources.
The state of the medical system in Gaza is even more critical. Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said that hospitals have been practically paralyzed due to the lack of fuel for power generators. Since October 7, the Israeli operation in Gaza has killed 46,006 people and injured 109,378. More than a million people have been injured in this relentless attack. At the same time, Hamas attacks in Israel have killed 1,139 people and captured more than 200. In addition, more than two million residents have been forced to leave their homes due to the Israeli aggression.
The Israeli attack has essentially reduced Gaza to rubble. According to the United Nations, about 85 percent of the Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced by Israel’s brutal offensive. And all of Gaza is now food insecure amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine.
In addition, 60 percent of the infrastructure in the besieged territory has been damaged or destroyed. Israel has already been accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice. Palestinian health authorities believe that more than 10,000 people are still missing under the rubble of destroyed houses across the Gaza Strip. Despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Israel has continued its brutal attack on the besieged territory.
It is worth noting that Israel has been carrying out continuous air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since Hamas’ unprecedented cross-border attack on October 7, 2023. Thousands of buildings, including hospitals, schools, refugee camps, mosques and churches, have been damaged or destroyed in the Israeli attack.
The ongoing conflicts in Israel, Yemen and Gaza have taken the humanitarian crisis to new levels. Without urgent intervention by the international community, the situation could worsen. Dialogue and empathy between the parties to establish peace are now more urgent than ever.
