Saying that there are attempts to divide the July Revolution, Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor on Environment, Forests, Climate Change and Water Resources, said that the families of martyrs should be careful in this regard.
She said this at a program to provide financial assistance to more than a hundred martyr families in Dhaka Division in the second phase on Monday (December 30).
The environmental advisor said, there is no division between us or you. But attempts to divide are going on. So all the martyr families should be careful. We have to win this journey. There is no alternative to winning.
She said that the government has given utmost importance to the martyr families. That is why the foundation has been formed. Along with financial assistance, rehabilitation work is also going on.
Sarjis Alam, Chief Organizer of the National Citizens Committee and General Secretary of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, said at the program that the families of martyrs in the student-public uprising do not want financial assistance, they want justice for the murder.
He said, the biggest responsibility of the interim government is to try the murderers of the martyrs surrounding the student-public uprising. No one will try to compromise on the trial of the martyrs. If the martyrs cannot be tried, it will be our biggest failure.
Demanding that the martyrs be declared as national heroes, Sarjid Alam said, the initial list of martyrs will be gazetted soon. The martyr brothers must be declared as national heroes.
Fisheries and Livestock Advisor Farida Akhtar said, many of the martyrs’ families are still receiving threats, it is sad. We are with you. Sheikh Hasina’s trial will be held on the soil of this country.
